Purpose
The purpose of the Adams County Open Space Plan is to identify areas for agricultural and environmental resource conservation and trail development. The plan identifies efforts that the county and others can make to support agricultural viability, encourage environmental resource preservation, help establish community buffers and develop a unified trail system.
Key Element
The Open Space Plan is an integral part of the Adams County Comprehensive Plan and a key element in shaping the future form and character of development and open space. Due to the uniqueness and importance of the South Platte River, a separate and more detailed plan was developed for that area.
