This role within Facilities & Fleet Management Department (FFM) operates for the purpose of the promotion and accommodation of owner’s representation and advocacy and is an essential element of the ownership representation supporting administrative functions of occupancy. The Real Property Management manages and coordinates the ownership voice for the county as it relates to real property conveyances, including real estate and oil and gas matters. Inquiries for this division typically relate to a request to acquire county-owned real property or to acquire real property rights, including but not limited to: easements across county-owned parcels, utilities requests on county-owned land. Additionally, lease inquiries of real property including oil and gas ownership as they relate to the county as a vested owner or perceived to be vested owner.
Real Property Management focuses on property ownership and assets, distinct from the regulatory and permitting responsibilities managed by other county departments. Regulatory and permitting inquiries are handled by the Community & Economic Development (CED) Department, while the Public Works Department oversees transportation, right-of-way, and related regulatory matters.
